how can I select front camera when starting a firefox hello session?

When trying to initiate a chat via Hello, Hello uses my rear camera instead of my front facing camera (Surface Pro 3). When receiving a Hello invitation, I can select the camera. How can I do this when initiating the chat?

hello hilarie, this is certainly something on the roadmap for improvements to firefox hello, but it isn't possible to do this in the browser yet. as a workaround you could try disabling the rear camera in the windows device manager: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-8/where-is-device-manager
