Since the upgrade to FF6 I have noticed when I open a new tab I have to sign in all over again to sites that I had already signed onto like Twitter, Digg, StumbleUpon(which is a sign on bummer) & some news sites too.. It doesn't seem to hold my logons to these sites when I open a new FF browser tab.. This just started with 6

Start Firefox in Use Troubleshoot Mode in Firefox to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

Make sure that you do not run Firefox in permanent Private Browsing mode.

  • You enter Private Browsing mode if you select: Tools > Options > Privacy > History: Firefox will: "Never Remember History"
  • To see all History and Cookie settings, choose: Tools > Options > Privacy, choose the setting Firefox will: Use custom settings for history
  • Deselect: [ ] "Permanent Private Browsing mode"

cor-el... TY for your reply but I already have my browsing set up the way you suggested. Several of my add-ons were turned off by FF when I went to 6 as 'not compatible' & I checked the rest recently but will do it again. Its just annoying to have to constantly sign in to these sites all over again especially the sites like StumbleUpon that don't have the 'click to sign on with a third party partner' capability; hmm more keystrokes when once was enough.. TY again ♥
