I've been using Thunderbird with no issues on Win 10. Its now installed on my new Win 11 PC but in the email account set up, it continuously says I have the wrong password. The password is correct and it picks the correct servers, so why the error message and is there a fix? Dave

Thunderbird is only reporting the feedback from server. The servers are selected by account, not by password. if the account uses 'app' passwords, such as Gmail, the normal password doesn't work.
