On EWTN website to stream watch live in the USA or EEUU is not available as choices in Firefox 54.0.1 32 bit as it is on MS Edge, IE 11 and Chrome. My operating system is Windows 10 Home. The choices are not there in Firefox for USA and EEUU. The Canada choice and the EEUU will play in MS Edge, IE 11, and Chrome, but not in Firefox. Firefox was working with the Canada choice but stopped within the last month or so. I have restarted Firefox in Safe mode, but it will not work. In MS edge it is listed as HTML 5 Brightcove as listed below the double lines.

I have also tried disabling add ons such as script blocker, NoScript, and such, but the it will not play, restarting the browser too. Safe mode should turn all that off anyway. So I now watch EWTN in the other browsers. I have spent to many days trying to find out the cause. I am sending this message to notify someone that this is occurring.

http://www.ewtn.com/multimedia/live.asp This is the website that works in MS Edge, IE 11, Chrome, but it doesn't work with Firefox anymore. I have found no detailed instructions about how to fix this problem yet.

Thank you,

KMozilla21

I found that Ghostery 7.3.1.12 is the problem; however, that does not resolve the curiosity about the USA and EEUU not being displayed in Firefox but in MS Edge etc. and this is problem is on another Windows 7 Ultimate and Professional Machine dual boot too. I went to the tool bar, and clicked on help. Then trouble shooting, then refresh. I installed the add ons again. Then disabled all of them, then enabled them one at a time. I found disabling Ghostery in Firefox makes the website work under the Canada choice.

On the windows 7 dual boot machine, I got away with just disabling Ghostery 7.3.1.12 and not refreshing. Trying to pause or allow the site with Ghostery won't work. Ghostery must be disabled. Then the EWTN site works. For some reason Ghostery interferes with EWTN.

Youtube did work and other HTML 5 sites, and even Adobe Flash Player with Ghostery running. For some reason EWTN Brightcove Ghostery is a problem. No red boxes.

If I remember correctly, it worked once on the MS Windows 7 dual boot Ultimate 64 bit, and Win 7 32 bit Professional machine one time. Then trying it again, it stopped with the error message. Then disabling Ghostery fixes the problem.

MS Edge, IE 11, and Chrome are running Ghostery and playing the EWTN site with USA and EEUU on screen not missing like Firefox. That is okay with me at this time because it works. It would be nice to have everything all nice and the same, but that is not reality .

Take care,

Hmm, I don't see the U.S., but I can play Canada, for what that's worth.

Can you play videos normally on other HTML5 video sites such as YouTube? YouTube has a format check page where you can see whether your Firefox has problems with particular codecs. Do you see any red boxes here:

https://www.youtube.com/html5

If H.264/MP4 is red, please see this article: Fix video and audio problems on Firefox for Windows N editions

If that is all okay, can you think of any reason your Firefox might not like the following address -- some users seem to have a filter on addresses that contain cdn but I don't know what causes that:

It's strange. I get the United States and EEUU on the top row now. I wonder what caused that row not to appear before. I can't explain why you don't see them since that started working for me.

Strangely enough for some reason the USA and EEUU appeared and are now working. I did clear history, cache, disabled all add ons, then restarted, turned add ons back on except for Ghostery and it all works with add ons running so far. I do not know how to program like C++ or any other languages. I am sort of like monkey pushes the button, monkey gets the banana.

I can only assume that some bits and bytes must have been out of order somewhere.

Last night August 6, 2017 I l learned that NoScript would stop USA and EEUU from showing. I would disable NoScript completely and they would appear. Now I changed my book mark in toolbar to the play USA area, leave NoScript on, click on NoScript allow button until it works. With NoScript on and allow it would play Canada area.

With Ghostery on it won't work at all.

That is the latest I have learned.
