Profile bug? "unresponsive plugin" Shockwave (/questions/970014)
I have been receiving this error for some time now, and it only occurs on firefox (not chrome) but it has been happening more frequently and is becoming a major disruption.

Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems. See "Creating a profile":

I created a new blank profile and I still received the unresponsive plugin error. However this time when opening firefox, it locked up completely and was unusable because of this error. Currently I am accessing this forum using chrome because firefox is not usable.
Please check if all your plugins are up-to-date. To do this, go to the Mozilla Plugin Check site.
Once you're there, the site will check if all your plugins have the latest versions. If you see plugins in the list that have a yellow Update button or a red Update now button, please update these immediately.
To do so, please click each red or yellow button. Then you should see a site that allows you to download the latest version. Double-click the downloaded file to start the installation and follow the steps mentioned in the installation procedure.
Updated all plugins and still have the problem.
