How can I delete the graphic icons to the left of the names of bookmarks on my toolbar?

On my toolbar, a little graphic icon now appears to the immediate left of each name of a bookmark. I want to delete those unnecessary icons so there is more room to see more names of my bookmarks in my toolbar.
