"Save to PDF"

Can't "Save as PDF" on Mac with Firefox Developer since upgrading to OS 26.5 on 5/22/26. It has worked perfectly until yesterday. Previously, just saving to pdf didn't download backgrounds. But clicking on "Print using the system dialog" and then "Save as PDF" would download backgrounds. I have restarted my computer, removed and reinstalled my printer, but "Save as PDF" still isn't saving, only sending to printer. I was just able to "Save as PDF" on another browser. I am hoping I don't have to switch default browsers from Firefox Developer. Others I know are having the same issue using Nightly, but I was not able to find anyone having this issue on the internet.

Hello,

You can try this : (Mac)

Firsty, make sure that when you press Cmd + P, then open in preview, then in the mac's native preview app, go to the top menu and select File>export as pdf, that it works. If not, continue.

NOTE : only use about:config if you know what you are doing. First, go to about:config, press enter, and accept risk and continue. Next, search for print_bg and if any values for print.printer_[Printer_Name].print_bgcolor or print.printer_[Printer_Name].print_bgimage are false, double click them to set them to true.

Next, you can also try going into about:config, searching for print.prefer_system_dialog, then set from false to true. After that, try using Cmd+P to get the PDF.

Lastly, you can try using a workaround by pressing Cmd + S, and set save format is Web Page, complete or PDF, then save locally. After that, you can try printing again.
