thunderbird email password
I have two computers and have thunderbird on each. All of a sudden I can't get into my email on one of the computers but can on the other. I believe they are set up the same Windows 11. I put in the password for the email address on webmail and it works there and on the other computer fine. What's wrong with this computer? I have deleted the email account I couldn't use on this computer and put it in again just as it is set up on the computer it works on and the pop up comes on enter a new password or retry. Please help, I have used thunderbird for years. Thanks

Who is the mail provider? What are the server settings in Thunderbird?

no help yet?
No, so why re-post if no one is interested in your issue that appears to be very common for folk using spectrum.
One computer works the other does not. Have you considered the antivirus you probably have installed on both. One allowing mail connections and the other breaking them. Just a guess of course, based on years of folk complaining that email does not work because they chose to install something to monitor their mail that only sort of works sometimes. Antivirus is perhaps the single most common cause of email issues.
Thanks. I'm new to this forum and got a notification from myself I guess so I put it on again. Still having a problem and both computers have the same antivirus on both. Spectrum says it's Thunderbird. I can login to Spectrum and get my webmail using the password I'm trying with Thunderbird and still can't get through and error wrong password or set up and the setup is the same as on the other computer.
