Loss of calendar reminders in Thunderbird
Recently the reminders from my calendar in Thunderbird have failed to show, as if there is a setting that has been turned off. How can I turn them back on again? Thank you. Update: I found for half a day the reminders returned, but they disappeared again. Does anybody have any idea as to what is going on?

Do you mean the "Today Pane" ? Go to View > Today Pane (image)
I don't have a 'Today Pane'. I have tried uploading a snip of my screen as a .jpg but unfortunately without success. It looks nothing like yours.
Don't you have a "View" menu like the one shown in my screen shot?
I have never seen a "View" menu. My Thunderbird was last modified (updated?) on 13 February 2025. I am running Windows 10 on a desktop.

Thank you, I can now see the File, Edit, View etc options toolbar which previously was hidden. I have also opened the 'Today Pane' which I had been unaware of. The appearance or presentation of my screen is very different to your screenshot. Previously I had been seeing reminders, which could be set to various periods before the event ranging from 5 minutes before the event to a week, but for some reason these reminders appear to have been turned off. It is this functionality I would like to restore.
Do you mean this reminder window (see joint picture)
Yes, this is the reminder that I have lost.
Hi there. Will 1946, maybe you'll find useful this post : https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1511047 It solved my lack of events reminders (still remains the lack of tasks reminders but it's another point).
