You can try to start up in safe modus if the program is working then there might be a theme or add on that is not working. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-mode-thunderbird If problems are more likely that other steps are needed try to use this subject : Rebuild the global database , go to the profile folder and delete the global~messages~db.sqlite.file and restart Thunderbird. That rebuilds that database. Reinstalling Thunderbird can work there too. Backup Thunderbird s profile folder reinstall the program. Download that latest version of Thunderbird. Restore that profile and or setup that recent account at Thunderbird again.
