IMPORTANT PRIVACY ISSUE
Hello,
You tell me (in my settings) that firefox will never remember history and clear everything but that's obviously not the case. This is a serious breach of trust (or I'm missing something, which I hope is the case).
When I close out firefox everything should be gone, but when I type in 'gmail' there is obviously history being saved.
Please see attachments and let me know what I'm missing. Thank you
Note:
I do have a startpage plugin on. But even if that's the case firefox shouldn't allow them to save my history. Are you allowing startpage to save my history?
Thanks again

Type about:preferences#privacy<enter> in the address bar. The button next to History, select Use Custom Settings.
Turn off Always Use Private Browsing Mode Turn on Remember My Browsing And Download History At the bottom of the page, turn on Clear History When Firefox Closes. At the far right, press the Settings button. Turn on Cache and Form And Search History and whatever else you want.
This doesn’t solve the problem. I also don’t understand your logic. But I followed it exactly and it doesn’t solve the problem.
I close Firefox. I open Firefox. And when I type in gmail it sees my email and some history, just like in the photo.
I also removed the Startpage add on and the problem still persists.
Why doesn’t clear history work? Please suggest an alternative solution.
Thank you
That could be the form filler built into Firefox. Click in the field, enter a character or two and STOP ! Using the arrow keys, highlight an unwanted entry. Then press Shift > Delete
Repeat as needed.
Sorry but did you look at the photo? I don’t think it’s the form filler. You will know if you look at the photo.
Again it didn’t work. And even if it did work wouldn’t it just happen again then? I was hoping for a more permanent solution.
I feel like this is a serious issue. If someone has delete history when Firefox closes activated then that should happen.
Please let me know if there’s anything else you can suggest. Thanks
What you see in the screenshot are suggestions coming from the "Firefox Suggest" feature.

The three "Firefox Suggest" entries from the address bar drop-down in your first screenshot show a blue star. It looks like they come from your bookmarks. See Address bar autocomplete suggestions in Firefox.
