The original problem was a Win 7 warning on opening T'bird that security aspects of my profile were amiss. I found I could send but not receive emails. So I've been using Shaw.ca webmail, instead, but I want to use T'bird. I deletedcert8.db as suggested in a Mozilla help article. No more security warnings from Win 7. But still can not receive emails. T'bird is contacting Shaw.ca email server but nothing happenes. So I checked the password in T'bird and it was not same as the webmail password so I deleted the incorrect password from Saved Passwords. BUT, when T'bird contacts the email server it does not provide me with a password box and eventually the contact with server is cutoff. So, are there more out of date files like cert8.db I need to delete?
