How do I make Firefox stop nagging me to update to 36?

If I wanted to downgrade to Firefox 36, I would've done it the first time they asked. Actually, I did do it the first time they asked, and discovered that 36 is so loaded down with un-uninstallable bloatware and other useless crap that nobody asked for that it runs like an overweight, elderly, stoned, quadruple amputee tortoise with heat stroke, in a coma, submerged in molasses and crashes damn near constantly, and offers absolutely no identifiable improvements, which is why upgraded back to 35.0.1. I don't want to keep hitting "Remind me later" for the rest of eternity because I don't want them to remind me later, or at least, not until they've gotten rid of the bloatware and replaced 36 with something that actually works. How do I disable these nagging pop-up dialogs?

Hi, go to Options (cog wheel) - in the 3-bar menu unless you've moved it, > Advanced tab, then Update tab, and you can set your preferences there.

I have to point out though, that in the interests of security you really should use the latest version.

Hope that helps.

With all due respect, updating to 36.0.1 because of security is a bit like buying a paper mache hammer so you won't smash your thumb. You won't smash you thumb, it's true, but it's also all but useless for hammering nails
