My sbcglobal.net email account was hacked into on Wed morning and everything in my email account was removed (address book with 4000+ client contacts, 6000 emails, folders, tons of important saved drafts, etc.) I use firefox to go to yahoo, is their a chance that I can recover at least SOME things I lost? The biggest thing to me are my folders, which had super important info for my business and clients. Yahoo said they couldnt help me because it was an at&t account, at&t said they couldnt help me because its a "free" email account.... I am desperate for any help!!!

If the information was not backed up and was only available online, chances are, you lost them.

If an account that is protected by a password gets cracked then you should be more careful with choosing passwords.

Passwords should contain uppercase and lowercase characters (e.g. a-z, A-Z) and have digits (0-9) and punctuation characters and symbols (`~!@#$%&*()-_=+[]{}\;:'",.<>/?) and the length should at least be 8, but better is a length of 12 or more.

Never use words that can be found or constructed via a dictionary look up, even if there are numbers added or some characters have a different case.

It is possible that you have a virus or malware on your computer, so you should check for that as well.

Do a malware check with some malware scanning programs on the Windows computer.
Please scan with all programs because each program detects different malware.

Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before doing a scan.

You can also do a check for a rootkit infection with TDSSKiller.
