here is the message i get; i have no idea what you mean by "item"

The operation can’t be completed because some items had to be skipped. For each item, choose File > Get Info, make sure “Locked” is deselected, and then check the Sharing & Permissions section. When you are sure the items are unlocked and not designated as Read Only or No Access, try again.

I found one route, did all that; no change

I am trying to update firefox, and after I open the downloaded file, this cryptic message appears in a little box

You will need to Reinstall Firefox because your previous Installation did not end properly or it got Corrupted.

-> Uninstall your current Firefox as described in this article -> Uninstall Firefox from your computer

  • Restart your system
