The names of my bookmarks changes without me doing that. What can I do to prevent that from happening?

I have bookmarks that I created months and even years ago which I am using on either a daily or weekly basis. At random some of them will change their names to a name which is already amongst my bookmarks or to "new name".

I am using currently Firefox 3.6 but I had this problem with earlier editions as well. Windows XP SP2.

This can be a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.
