How can I remove old, expired passwords from the Firefox auto-fill?

Jeff.Popko

Firefox has saved 9 passwords for one of my regular banking sites. How do I delete the old, unusable passwords?

Hello,

To remove old Firefox passwords, Go to about:logins, then scroll through the list of passwords or search those passwords, then select any account that you want to delete, then confirm deletion when prompted.

Hello! You can remove the old entries like this:

1. Open the Firefox menu (the three lines in the top-right corner) and choose Settings. 2. Go to the Privacy & Security panel. 3. In the Passwords section, click "Saved passwords...". 4. Find your banking site in the list — you can use the search box at the top to find it quickly. 5. Select the outdated entries and click Remove. You can hold Ctrl (or Cmd on a Mac) while clicking to select several at once, then remove them all together. 6. Keep only the current, working login.

Firefox will then only offer the correct saved password when you sign in on that site. If the site ever saves a new password in the future, it is worth deleting the old entry for the same site at that moment so the list stays tidy.
