Use Mozilla's proper names wordlist in my dictionaries
Heya,
I am the maintainer of the British Dictionary.
For one year that I have been working in the "shadows" on my version of US+Canada+Australian, to be released on 1-JAN-2026.
Can I add your list of proper names (~5000 words) to my dictionaries and release the dictionaries as LGPL?
Thank you!

Hey Marco,
Good news! Our legal team confirmed this should be ok. (:

I think you should contact Mozilla staff for this issue. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/groups/mozilla-staff/
Or maybe try https://chat.mozilla.org/ if you have Matrix.
Hi Marco,
Thanks for checking with us. This has been escalated internally. We'll let you know once we hear something from our team.

Heya, @Kiki,
Any updates on this subject?
Almost a month has gone by since your reply.
Thanks.
Hey Marco,
Apologies if this completely slipped through my attention and now I don't remember where I asked initially. But surely I haven't got any replies so far. Will check again!

Heya,
Thank you!
That decision made the British, the South African and the other three dictionaries I will start maintaining on 1-JAN-2026 better.

I'm glad Firefox can contribute to it. Good luck with the project! (:
