I want to use Thunderbird as my email client on a new laptop. I only want to include my outlook.com account. The automatic setup procedure fails and I don't have a clue how to set up the account manually. The failure message doesn't specify what parameter is causing the failure. Since I can't use my outlook.com account yet, I can be reached on my desktop system at [edited] @cox.net . I hope you can correct this issue for me.

the new setup is likely the problem. go to settings>general and untick the experimental setup wizard and start over. See attached screenshot.

Hi Thomas Did unchecking the 'Account Hub' option allow you to create the mail account ? This would be really important feedback which would be very much appreciated as it helps improve Thunderbird. Many thanks.
