My live.com accounts are no longer syncing as of 10/01/24. I tried changing the authenication method to 0auth2 as suggested and restarted my computer. Now instead of getting the notice that my password for my live accounts in incorrect, I get a message from thunderbird saying "The IMAP server imap-mail.outlook.com does not support the selected authentication method. How can I fix this? I tried changing my passwords to these 2 accounts and reentereing into thunderbird but to no avail.

I changed the to the 0auth2 on one of the accounts and now it is working. I will try the second account. YAY!! Both accounts are working now! THANK YOU SO MUCH! I really appreciate your help!

- set incoming to outlook.office365.com and output to smtp.office365.com

Thank you for your suggestion. I tried this. I was not sure where the incoming setting was. I think it is under "server" Should I have kept the imap before it? I found the outgoing under the general settings. It said I had to restart and re-enter my passwords. I tried that but still not working. Perhaps I did not put the above info in the right places.

PS Should I use a password or the 0auth2 setting?

Just to clarify, I also changed the outgoing and incoming settings.

You are very welcome. My apologies for not mentioning the need for Oauth2. :)
