Thunderbird Garbling Email

This morning when I opened Thunderbird one of my email accounts displays the following for each email received since last night:

"--Apple-Mail=_DE41C5E1-7C51-4E82-AF8A-33451E8D062D-- --Apple-Mail=_15B38F36-FA9F-4D37-9155-2CF8D584427A-- "

I am on a windows computer. The other two email accounts I have in Thunderbird appear normal The emails on my email provider's server appear normal

Any thoughts as to what the problem is and how to fix?

This must have been a temporary glitch as emails now seem to be normal. Still wondering what caused the problem
