Before TB91 emails could be printed double-sided, but now it is not possible even though the printer supports this. The new print dialog is great, just missing a useful (and for me important) feature.

Chosen Solution

The system print dialog is still accessible in Tbird's new print dialog. Just use the link that says Print using the system dialog... It's the last item in the settings pane of the new print dialog.
