Can't send mail in Thunderbird 91.1.2 with gmail account. Recently changed Google password. Incoming mail is working. Outgoing requires password but won't accept it.

Chosen solution

For the incoming, use imap.gmail.com on 993, SSL/TLS, OAuth2 authentication, User Name = email address.

For the outgoing use smtp.gmail.com on 465, SSL/TLS, or 587, STARTTLS, OAuth2 authentication, User Name = email address.

Accept cookies in Preferences/Privacy & Security. Remove all passwords from Saved Passwords in Preferences/Privacy & Security, restart TB, enter the account password in the OAuth window.
