Headphones sound weird when listening to audio/watching videos on Firefox. What can I do?

So, I bought my Philips SHP9500 headphones two weeks back and they were working fine until today when I was watching gameplay videos on YouTube (on Firefox). They are working absolutely fine with Chrome but a crackling sound is bothering me when using Firefox. I also tried cleaning my headphones by following the steps mentioned here: https://headphonesproreview.com/how-to-clean-headphones/

But nothing seems to help. Is there a problem with my headphones or is there a compatibility issue with Firefox? Please help as I don't intend to buy new headphones. :(

Maybe check that you haven't set the volume level too high in Firefox to prevent distortion of the sound or even digital clipping in the headphone. The volume level on videos can differ quite a lot and some are quite loud and can cause distortion.
