Menu Bar displays some items in English and others in Japanese.
I live and work in Japan and recently my company IT had to scrub my computer and reinstall Windows. Upon reinstalling Thunderbird, at first I realized that I had mistakenly installed the Japanese version somehow. When you go to the Mozilla Thunderbird website from Japan it won't allow you to visit the English website, but it allows you to select the language of the software you download. I selected English, but it somehow still installed the Japanese version.
After searching around through third party download sites I was finally able to download an English version, but while the Menu Bar is mostly in English, it still displays some items in Japanese. I'm assuming that it somehow defaults some items to the computer's default language, but I have that set to English as well. I've looked through all the settings both in Thunderbird and on my computer and searched through all the help forums and can't find a solution. Does anyone know what the source of the problem or how to fix it.

What version of Thunderbird did you install? Thunderbird 60 has some new language "features" that might be either relevant or impacting here.
Options > Advanced General now has an Application locale and a regional settings locale
