I don't quite understand what you are saying, but see if this helps you.

In the latest Firefox 47 Options > General --> at the bottom under Tabs, see if When I open a link in a new tab, switch to it immediately has a check-mark. If so, uncheck it.

Or maybe you mean this:

When you are in, for example, tab 2 of 4, when you launch a link from tab 2, it may appear in the tab 3 position instead of the tab 5 position. If you want new tabs AND "related" tabs to appear at the end of the tab bar, here's the setting:

(1) In a new tab, type or paste about:config in the address bar and press Enter/Return. Click the button promising to be careful.

(2) In the search box above the list, type or paste tabs and pause while the list is filtered

(3) Double-click the browser.tabs.insertRelatedAfterCurrent preference to switch it from true to false

Success?
