when i turned on my fire fox browser i had a pop up window that i needed to sign in and needed to change my pass word is this a scam

Sign into what? What is your home page?
While some websites may ask you to change your password now and then, they don't ask before you signed in.

Run most or all of the listed malware scanners. Each works differently. If one program misses something, another may pick it up.
