Can not send email after upgrading to 45.0. SOLVED caused by Check and Send Add-on

I upgraded to Thunderbird 45.0. I have the Check and Send Add-on. After upgrading I could not send an email until I disabled this add-on and idea why?

I don't know why, but I did read that another user reported problems with it following an upgrade, so I don't think you are alone. Maybe the author of the add-on hasn't upgraded it yet to reflect the recent changes in Thunderbird. That's just a guess, but it often happens with add-ons ... they take a while to catch up.
