Newegg.com is the only website I'm having problems with. Scans show no signs of malware. The other newegg websites work fine oddly enough. So does every other website I use. When trying to connect, the website's address shows but the page is totally blank or certain pictures are missing. Refreshing doesn't help

Is the problem that the page does not lay out well, or that Firefox is unable to access the site, or what exactly are the symptoms?

Both. Some times it connects to the website and displays a blank all white page. Other times it connects with images of products missing.

I assume you've checked the NoScript menu in case Newegg has added some new hosts that need to be unblocked. Could you try with your other extensions temporarily disabled? You could do that manually or...

A standard diagnostic to bypass interference by extensions (and some custom settings) is to try Firefox's Safe Mode.

First, I recommend backing up your Firefox settings in case something goes wrong. See Back up and restore information in Firefox profiles. (You can copy your entire Firefox profile folder somewhere outside of the Mozilla folder.)

Next, restart Firefox in Firefox's Safe Mode (Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode) using

Help > Restart with Add-ons Disabled

In the dialog, click "Start in Safe Mode."

If the site works correctly, this points to one of your extensions or custom settings as the problem.

Any change?

If you use extensions (Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) like Adblock Plus or NoScript or Flash Block that can block content then make sure that such extensions aren't blocking content.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

  • Do not click the Reset button on the Safe mode start window or otherwise make changes.
