I can not type information into pre-made boxes. Examples (registration forms where you enter information, the box in the MS help topic, forum ask a question boxes, etc.

Sites with pre-made blank boxes. You can tab through, but you can't type onto them. Also the MS help section where you enter your topic, the same thing. I contacted a few forums and can,t enter into the question boxes. I had a few site that opened Explorer as the contact page. You can enter your email address and topic but can't enter into the message part of the email. I have not added and programs to my computer in several months and the only updates are yours, Microsoft, and security updates. I have run a complete scan several times and can find nothing. The only thing I have seen with your updates is a message that a few programs have not been compatible, but they have been old programs and I don't think any do this. I have Windows XP as the operating system and any ideas would be a great help. Thank you, Lorenzo

Try the Firefox SafeMode to see how it works there.
A troubleshooting mode, which disables most Add-ons.
(If you're not using it, switch to the Default Theme.)

  • You can open the Firefox 4.0+ SafeMode by holding the Shft key when you use the Firefox desktop or Start menu shortcut.
  • Or use the Help menu item, click on Restart with Add-ons Disabled... while Firefox is running.

Don't select anything right now, just use "Continue in SafeMode."

To exit the Firefox Safe Mode, just close Firefox and wait a few seconds before using the Firefox shortcut (without the Shft key) to open it again.

If it is good in the Firefox SafeMode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, and you need to figure out which one.

When you figure out what is causing that, please let us know. It might help other user's who have that problem.

Also, you have a number of outdated plugins which are a security risk, see this:
