Firefox crashes then when I try to reopen it I get a message saying it is already open and must be closed. It is not open and I cannot close it and have to reboot. It is very annoying as it happens often.

Firefox will close unexpectedly then when I try to open it I get a message saying it is already open and I must close it first. I cannot find it open anywhere and then I must reboot to open Firefox again.
