Tab groups gone after saving and closing

I saved and closed a few tab groups about a month ago and now they're no where to be seen. Nothing is in the down arrow on the right and I don't see any groups searching through history. The text when I closed them said I could re-open them at any time. Where are they?

It's possible that you either cleared all history completely during the time (or maybe switched to some more private mode either during use or on shutdown), or at some point in that time frame your session restore didn't restore correctly. They might be in your older copies of sessionstore-backups, described in the thread above.
