How to make Firefox search an AI assistant that doesn't always ask me to sign in

I would like to use Firefox with a search that uses an AI bot, similar to how Brave uses Leo. Leo does not ask me to sign in every time, like Perplexity does when I select it as the Firefox search engine. Also, when I do a search, Perplexity always causes the Google sign in option, which I hate. So, I continue to use Brave/Leo, because I use the AI/Leo capability a lot, but would prefer Firefox and something.

Hi there,

Starting with Firefox version 148, you can turn off current and future AI features using a single Block AI enhancements switch, in the new AI Controls panel in Firefox settings. To learn more, see Block generative AI features with Firefox AI controls.
