Hello Euan, you can read how notifications work and how to control them here: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/push-notifications-firefox In particular, here is the section that on how to turn them on and off: "In the Menu bar at the top of the screen, click Firefox and then select Preferences or Settings, depending on your macOS version. Click Privacy & Security from the left panel. Scroll to the Permissions section. Click the Settings… button next to Notifications. Select the website. Click the Remove Website button. To stop all sites from sending you push messages, follow the steps above but instead of selecting a specific site, click the Remove All Websites button. Websites will not be able to send you messages and will need to ask your permission to send them in the future. "
