On Firefox Nightly 140.0a1,

The navigation bar (forward, back, tabs) is gone. I did not change any settings. Clearing cache, reinstalling, switching to the standard Firefox app did not bring it back.

I noticed that, too. I don't see a setting for this.

Maybe it adds more reading space to remove the bar, but it is disorienting having the tabs button move every few months.

It was useful since I have gestures but I'm used to android 2/3 button navigation for holding down the back button for recent history

The feature is also missing in my Firefox 138.0.2. (and latest Nightly). I don't see any mention of the removal of this feature in any release notes.
