Problems with New York Times and New Yorker Websites

Hi Mozilla, I'm a loyal and longtime user and have had no major problems I can remember in the last 15 years. Recently, however, I've found that over the last seven or so months I have had great difficulty managing my New York Times (http://www.nytimes.com) and New Yorker (https://www.newyorker.com/account/profile) accounts. I have had to update credit card information, change passwords and update personal information and I've only been able to do this by switching to an alternate browser (usually Safari). I'm constantly told that I should be using Chrome with them, which I DO NOT want to do. Can you find out why Firefox won't fully work with these sites?
