I take a lot of screenshots using Firefox's built in screenshot tool to share with my friends. After a while it slows down my Photos folder and I move them elsewhere. However, I cannot move, delete, or even rename any of the 18 photos shown in the photo below. They are all from Twitter/X, but this error does not apply to every screenshot from Twitter - I was able to move or delete most of them. However, it is ONLY happening with photos from Twitter. They are not Read Only so I don't know what the issue is. I'm not having this issue with Windows Snip tool, only Firefox Screenshots.

I hope you don't mind me bumping this but I am STILL having this issue after a full Windows re-install. Screenshots I take of Twitter/X using Firefox's built in screenshot tool are saving to "\\?\E:\Pictures" meaning that I cannot delete them without using Command Prompt (and I haven't tried that yet because it's such a hassle).

Does anyone know how I can get screenshots to save to just E:\Pictures without the weird "\\?\" at the start?

Can you enter about:config in the address bar and check the value of browser.download.lastDir? Thanks.

Hi! Thanks for replying.

My browser.download.lastDir is E:\Pictures. I choose where to download each file (I do not want them all in Downloads).

I just had the error again and the value is now: "\\?\E:\Pictures". I cannot delete this image from my PC. Screenshot from Twitter/X once again. Only having this issue with firefox screenshot tool and only on this website.
