I'm trying to download Firefox on a new computer. It downloaded the install program at least 6 times in about an hour, but it never finishes downloading. How can I avoid this and get it to actually download Firefox?

Are you trying to download the small stub that does online install or the full setup that does offline install.

To get the full setup try downloading from https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/all/#product-desktop-release as this is the Download options and other languages link on say https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/new/
