OPENING PDF'S

more options

When opening pdf's attached to emails they used to automatically be opened by my pdf viewer software. Then they started opening in Firefox on another tab, which was fine. Now I first get an error message from firefox where I need to click on "open site in new window" it isn't a site but a pdf?? How do I get it to go back to opening with Adobe instead?

Thanks, Jeff

Hi Jeff, that kind of message may appear when a PDF (or other content) is embedded in a page, and the PDF and main page are on different servers.

To change the general handling of PDFs, see the steps in this article: View PDF files in Firefox or choose another viewer. Can you get it working the way you prefer?

Did you check in Windows O/S file association that is where it tells what app to open what extensions aka .pdf with Adobe Reader or Acrobat depending which you have installed.
