Hello! I forgot my primary password. Is there any way for me to reset it so I don't lose the password I have saved throughout the years? Thanks

In the event that the passwords information is lost, you should record all information in a separate text file somewhere else on your hard drive, or written down. You can easily copy and paste if you need to do so. If you are concerned about someone else looking at that file, you can compress it using a password.

Note that you lose all passwords stored in logins.json if you reset the Primary Password because this PP password is used to encrypt the logins stored in logins.json and only this PP password can decrypt the logins, so you may want to keep a backup of logins.json and key4.db.

If you have a Time Machine backup from before you used this PP then you can try to restore the matching logins.json and key4.db in a profile.
