Hi pallara, some you can and some you can't. What changes do you want to undo?
the last update added a line just below the address bar that says...for quick access place your bookmarks here on the tool bar...I don't want to do that, my bookmarks are just fine, thank you, but there is no way to make that 'suggestion' go away which is annoying the he-- out of me. several updates ago, numerous websites were added to the address bar so it looks like i visited them recently...which i did not....they stay there no matter what i do....including clearing all the history....they are websites i never use and probably never will...i want them gone! i really like firefox but these annoyances make me want to use something else. any help you can offer will be greatly appreciated.
Hi, thank you for the additional details.

That is the "empty Bookmarks Toolbar" message. To hide/show the Bookmarks Toolbar, you can use one of these methods:
- press Ctrl+Shift+B (added in Firefox 84)
- right-click (on Mac Ctrl+click) a blank spot on the tab bar (or the "+" button), then click Bookmarks Toolbar
- (menu bar) View > Toolbars > Bookmarks Toolbar
On Windows, tap the Alt key to activate the menu bar temporarily. - in Customize mode > Toolbars button > Bookmarks Toolbar (see: Customize Firefox controls, buttons and toolbars)

Do you mean in the drop-down, when you click the bar, unrecognized sites appear? Firefox 75+ shows the first 8-10 entries from the Top Sites section of the Firefox Home / New Tab page first, before you start typing. You can either:
(1) Stop Top Sites from showing in the address bar drop-down when you click it
Check the "How can I control what results the address bar shows me?" section of this article: Address bar autocomplete suggestions in Firefox.
(2) Clean up the Top Sites list to be more useful

Modified
We have no way to undo any updates that are in fact malware attacks to the browser to make them inoperable. The tabs are no longer able to be distinguised from each other, they all have the same color with no boundaries. I will be having to switch to another web browser now since it is apparent that the people doing these updates are doing it with only one goal in mind and that is to butcher up Firefox so much that we are forced to seek other browsers, namely Google and Microsoft browsers. I have used Firefox for almost twenty years now but now I have to stop using it and remove it and find another browser that is not operated by Google or Microsoft.
Hi virgil2u, I can give you a quick short-term workaround, but a more durable solution will require more work.
Temporary Fix
For testing purposes, there is a preference to switch the tab bar and address bar between new style and old style. This is not expected to continue in Firefox 90, but maybe you want to use it for now.
(1) In a new tab, type or paste about:config in the address bar and press Enter/Return. Click the button accepting the risk.
(2) In the search box in the page, type or paste browser.proton.enabled and pause while the list is filtered
(3) Double-click the preference to switch between true (new style) and false (old style)
Longer Term Community Workaround
This involves setting up a userChrome.css file. I have a rules builder that will get more features throughout the month. By the time the above preference is removed, it should be mature. If you want to take a sneak peek now:
