I am totally bother with Firefox when I browsing with this. My Kaspersky Antivirus Block "http://detectportal.firefox.com/success.txt" this website as malicious content. Report: 26.08.2019 21.58.27 Download blocked http://detectportal.firefox.com/success.txt Object name: HEUR:Trojan.Script.Miner.gen Object: http://detectportal.firefox.com/success.txt Application: Firefox Object type: Trojan program

As it's a trojan warning, I am afraid about my internet security. Please help how can I get rid from it. Mentioning that it's only happened when I browse with Firefox.

Kaspersky is a pretty terrible antivirus (https://arstechnica.com/information-technology/2019/08/kaspersky-av-injected-unique-id-into-webpages-even-in-incognito-mode/) so I'd strongly suggest removing it entirely. You computer comes with Windows defender, which is far better, and you can download Malwarebytes (www.malwarebytes.com) for monthly scans.

This specific message appears to be a false positive. Nothing to worry about

Note that this is about Firefox from testing for a captive portal

If you do not need to use this service then you can possibly disable it via the about:config page.

  • network.captive-portal-service.enabled = false

I am using Windows Defender. Just this week I started getting the pop up http://detectportal.firefox.com/success.txt every time I open a tab on Firefox browser. What is going on? Is their a setting that can prevent this annoying pop up?
