Thunderbird is tagging my messages 'on its own'
I open Thunderbird and see messages I have opened that are now suddenly newly tagged -- previously they were not tagged [I don't use tags, nor usually see them on any messages.] I did not tag them and never use that feature.
This happens often when I haven't even been on my computer [nor has anyone else been near it or had access to it], so I am confused as to why the emails are now 'tagged' with a color.
Is this a security problem or something else? I use a Mac laptop that is updated in terms of the system OS and the applications. Thunderbird says it is currently up to date. I am including a screenshot of one message that is now 'tagged' in the color orange. [It's from 'Jemznjewels' which is a store I often get messages from.]
I have had this 'tagging' on its own happen twice now and am very upset/worried about it. If you have any ideas please let me know, I appreciate any ideas and thoughts. I am not sure what to do. Thank you for reading!

is the account MAP? what mail provider?
Looking through the list of tags, orange is "Work" if you have Google IMAP, they may be adding the tag so they can place the mails in the Work" label on their system. Along with important etc.
Thanks -- yes it is Google imap. I know people can send messages with tags like 'work' etc, but I was surprised that the message I got didn't initially have that tag on it. It only 'shows up' later on, after I've seen it. Is that worrisome or some normal bug/issue? And thank you so much! I appreciate it!!
I suggest you go here https://mail.google.com/mail/u/0/#settings/inbox and turn off the inbox categories. That may close out the changes you are looking at.
Okay, I have deselected all the categories under 'inbox' that were possible. I will watch and see if I get another incident of this -- thank you for your help!
