How do I turn off quick find commands?

I'm doing calculus homework and whenever I use the / on my keyboard it causes quick find to pop up. This is becoming very annoying.

Hi cjorozco13, the / key should only activate QuickFind outside of text editing areas.

There is no built-in setting to disconnect / from QuickFind.

It's possible to intercept the / key and prevent it from doing anything (see: How do I turn off quick find?) but that probably won't help you with your homework!
