Hello,

I'm having difficulty in sending/receiving emails this past week. I've checked my IMAP mail settings and all are correct.

I've adjusted the Encryption and authentication types, to no avail.

I've contacted my ISP (who the mail account is hosted by) and they say it's a "Compatability issue" with the latest version of Thunderbird and I'd have to downgrade to version 17 of Thunderbird to get it working! When only last week it was working fine, on the latest version at that time.

Any suggestions?

Below is a screen shot of my settings:

(And yes, the password is correct as I can access my emails via the Webmail)

Your settings comply with their guide, except they recommend STARTTLS security on port 587 for the outgoing server. Sometimes, it helps to delete the passwords from Tools/Options/Security/Passwords/Saved Passwords, Show Passwords, OK, restart TB, and enter the password when prompted at the next connection.
