After opening an e-mail in the In Box and leaving it in the In Box, it disappears.. Not in the trash or any folders. How do I locate?

after opening 2-mail and leaving it open in the IN BOX it disappears. I did not delete , it is not in the TRASH or any other folder. How can I locate?

Go to the View menu and make sure Messages is set to all All and not Unread.
