How to block redirects using userChrome.css

Some sites use 'backout traps' to keep you on their page (Microsoft ...). When you click on the 'Back' button, the same page reloads. I know I can right click on the Back arrow to show a dropdown of pages recently visited, but that's a pain. Several months ago I found the css code needed to prevent this, and it worked well, but I've had to recover Windows 10 since then, and I can't find the site that the snippet of code was on. Can someone help with this? TIA! And, yes, I know that css is normally used to change visual styles, not actions. I also know that it's possible to block redirects in userChrome.css, because it did work.

Hello RoyS,

Thanks for your post and welcome to the forums!

I had a good search for this on the web and, same as you, couldn't find it :(

Apparently you can use Alt + LeftArrow as a work around though.

I'll keep searching nonetheless, and will let you know if I find something :)

Best, Josh.

Thanks, Josh,

Lol. I've been searching for some time now, and it's driving me nuts. I know when I happened across it before, I was searching about another css question, but I can't remember what that was either /:-( I'm hoping that someone more conversant with css coding than myself can figure out how to do what I'm asking.
