I get an error notice when I try to get my mail saying the password is invalid. can you help me get my mail?

I have a TWC account using a road runner or rr.com for my email. When I try to get my messages, I get an error notice: Sending of password for user rvail@kc.rr.com did not succeed. Mail server pop-server.kc.rr.com responded: invalid user name or password. This has been my email account for some time. I need to get into mt email for some on line bills.
