I've tried uninstall from program files, everything else I can think of, but nothing gets rid of Avira Browser Safety. How can I do it?

You should be able to remove this addon from the addon list. To find it, please follow these steps:

  1. Go to Tools > Addons in the menu bar
  2. Select Extensions in the sidebar
  3. Click the Remove button
  4. Restart Firefox

This should remove the addon. If it doesn't, please let us know.

Thank you very much for your reply, I did as you instructed but the avira Browser Safety wasn't listed under Extensions. Then I also clicked on a few other buttons and it was not shown anywhere. I've been to other chat rooms on yahoo and see that many other people are having this same problem. I was able to remove all the other parts of the Avira program -- just not the Browser Safety, It's probably not harmful to my pc, but it just irritates me that it can't be removed!Thank you.Wesley Branton said

Start your Computer in safe mode with networking. Then start Firefox. Try Safe web sites. Is the problem still there?
