Problem with pdf files loading

When loading a web page that has a pdf file embedded in the html document the pdf will not display. The page has to be refreshed to view the pdf. Once the page has been refreshed and loaded correctly I can return to this page and the problem doesn't occur. This only happens in Firefox, other browsers are displaying the page correctly first time.
